02/19: A Visit from Kelly

Our friend Kelly from UW, now living in Sweden's neighbor to the south, decided to pop up and visit us in Stockholm for a long weekend.

02/20:
Kelly spent the day while we were at work exploring the town. But given that it was Friday, after work we took it upon ourselves to give her the true Stockholm experience. It of course started out with a meal of Swedish meatballs, reindeer, and some Swedish Czech brews.

Afterwards we headed out to an old medieval pub and drank some mead. Here's Courtney playing with fire!
We tried the 15th century equivalent of beer bongs and keg stands.
And as is usually the case ... we got carried away.
After that we headed to another pub ...
... and then headed out for a late night walk through Gamla Stan.

02/21:
The next morning (Saturday) we headed out to explore town.
After wandering through Gamla Stan we went to Storkyrkan, the place where the royalty used to be crowned.

That evening Björn and Ulrika came over and joined us for some drinks before heading out near our place.

02/22:
The next day we had a fun afternoon at some museums in Stockholm in the middle of a snow storm. Good times. But not good pictures. After a little delay Kelly made it safely back to Copenhagen, and we resumed business as (sort of) usual.
