03/14: Sankt Patricks Dag

03/14:
Courtney and I hosted a party the Saturday before Saint Patrick's Day (Definition: Saint Patricks Day in Swedish. What's that? You figured that out yourself? You are learning! Congrats!). We ended up having a few friends and co-workers joining us to learn the true meaning of this very special holiday. We served Irish Car Bombs, provided green dye for our guests' beers and Courtney even made lime jellow shots for the occasion (Court already posted about our party here).

Here's a big group of us raising a glass in favor of St. Patrick.
Courtney taught the group a few Irish dancing moves to some Flogging Molly tunes.
A couple of coworkers: Johan, Caroline and Charlotte
My pal Erik, rocking some Seahawks gloves that I picked up for him in Seattle. Note the ridiculously greenified beer.

03/17:
On Tuesday, the actual holiday, we met up with our friend Pär and some of his friends at a bar that has a huge selection of beers from everywhere. We then met up with Björn at an Irish bar that was full of Scandinavian/Irish excitement. There we met a bunch of interesting characters. Among them was a guy who I initiated conversation with because his jacket said "Something-or-Rather Concrete" in Swedish. After a few seconds I found that he does not work in the concrete industry but in fact is part of a gang. He then told me and Björn that his life was the inspiration for a slightly fictitious book and soon to be movie about drugs and criminality. Hearing this we decided that it was time to make up an excuse to sneak away and we rolled home.
