As I've said before, the country is huge. The distance between the southern tip and the northern most point in Sweden is the same distance as between southern Sweden and Rome. Our trip began out front of a Burger King where we waited for our Swedish travel companions. We then ventured on a long 13 hour train ride. This should have been easy enough; the trip to Munich was 15 hours. Unfortunately in this case we had no beds meaning we were stuck in a small compartment with little to no legroom that went from being ridiculously hot to absolutely frigid at night. We thus arrived in Östersund and met up with the other 8 people who were a part of our group. We then took cabs to where we were spending the week. We split into two separate cabins which had the loose name of Awesome Cabin and Lame Cabin. Joining Björn, Ulrika and Courtney and myself in Awesome Cabin was Björn's old friend Daniel and his girlfriend Nina. Having had little to no sleep, the members of Awesome Cabin promptly had awesome naps.
After we awoke we went on a short hike to see a waterfall near our cabin. Here's the crew on the way out towards the waterfall.
Björn implemented some of the finest of Sweden's high fashion to keep the mosquitoes at bay.
We then set on our way back. This moss is of no significance, I just thought it was pretty.
That evening we had dinner and we played cards and had drinks in Awesome Cabin. While we were playing, half the residents of Lame Cabin called it a night and the other half came in to snicker at our obvious superiority.
Here we are, getting the party started.
