04/10-13: Giselle's Visit

Ahh ... I am so comfortable right now. I'm sitting on my couch in my spacious new flat, watching Family Guy on a super sweet flat-screen TV. For those who weren't aware, we decided to move out of our last place to a new place that would take us through the summer, and possibly beyond. However, we had to wait 2 weeks between places which meant staying with a bunch of our pals here.

During this time, Giselle and her friend Andrea graced Stockholm with their elegant presences over the Easter holiday. This happened to be during the 3rd of our temporary apartments and the girls got to stay in bunk beds intended for 2 kids who have a combined age of perhaps 6 at the highest. So without further ado lets get started.

04/10:

First, let me say ... God bless the state church! Because over here we get the Friday and Monday around Easter off. So when the girls arrived we were pumped for a long weekend with guests. The girls also had amazing timing, as the weather forecasts showed nothing but sunny skies.

When they arrived we threw their stuff in some lockers and went out and explored for a bit before going back to our "apartment" to recharge. That night we headed out for drinks at a medieval pub ...
... and a classy sky bar.

We're so $$$ and we don't even know it:

04/11:

The next morning we awoke, had a lazy breakfast and then headed out for an intense day of tourism. The fun thing about having visitors is that each time we get a chance to do something new. This time we got the chance to take one of the boat tours.
Beautiful Stockholm ...
Looking towards some of the most exclusive apartments in Stockholm. Many of these apparently have 15 rooms. Apparently all of Stockholm's bigwigs live here (but not the smallwigs).

Andrea and Courtney:
After we shed our sea legs we headed to Stureplan, where Stockholms best and brightest go to see and be seen. We hung out at a pub, had some beers outside, Giselle tried pickled herring, and chillaxed.

Afterwards we headed to the City Hall. We decided to take a photo of us all walking stride for stride across the camera. Somehow, between setting up the tripod and running to get to the front of the line I forgot how to walk. Take a look ... my right arm and my right leg are both forward. I somehow overthought walking.
A debateably more badass band photo than the original one on the same location:

04/12:

For our last full day we went out for another beautiful, although windier day. Here's Giselle and Andrea with Stockholm sprawling behind them:

We then hit a water-taxi over to the Vasamuseet. Here's us in front of the 17th century warship.
That evening we made Easter eggs. Woo, nothing can stop this party!

After naps and predrinking, Courtney's co-worker Sara joined us and we headed out to this club "Bern's" for some clubbing.

04/13:

The next morning was an uneventful one as we said farewell to the girls and then moved onto yet another temporary home.
