05/06: Egypt Day 4 - Bahra's Birthday

I have mentioned some of the many animals that are running around the place all the time. There are 4 dogs, 2 cats named after famous soccer players, 2 tiny kittens. In addition to this they have a room with 8 other kittens all over the place. When I woke up I went to Tamer’s room where all the kittens were. These little guys don’t always get much attention because they are competing with so many other critters, so when they are out they are super affectionate.


These two adopted me.




Once the cats get old enough they'll probably move out to the shelter that Bahra runs.
That evening Bahra celebrated her birthday. So after dinner we headed to a pub called the Bull’s-eye because it’s one of the few bars that has one dartboard.


Here we drank on someone else’s dime which resulted in a lot of us getting really drunk. I met Tamer’s girlfriend Sarah, we played darts against Saad, and by the end of the night Victor came and joined us.

Afterwards we headed back to Tamer’s to watch the election returns. Tamer and his mom are both big Obama fans, and we were all really excited about the results as you can see.
