Our last stop was Nice, France, which finally allowed me to speak a language I at least have a passing familiarity with. Unlike the past two stops, we actually stopped in the city we were visiting. To get on shore we had to be ferried by small boats . This was a disaster as a lot of people cut in line and we ended up standing in line for upwards of a half an hour before finally getting on a boat and heading out. Here's Nice :

Upon landing, Courtney and I took a walk up a hill into a nice park. This was particularly fantastic because the weather was really comfortable and there wasn't anybody around. We both fell in love with the city.

After this we headed to some of the outdoor markets. Here's a sign for the Quai Des Etats-Unis, or platform of the United States! Woo, America!

Here's Courtney, excited about fruits!

Afterwards the two of us laid on the beach and went swimming. The water was absolutely amazing, although the beach is rocky and a little tricky to traverse. The swim further added to our infatuation with the city.

The day ended quickly and we headed back to the boat. That evening we had dinner and drinks with our Floridian compadres - Mike, Amy, Amee, and Carl as well as Kenny and Alice from Tacoma.
The next day Courtney and I woke up in Barcelona, we headed to Tamers for a lazy day on the beach. We were surprised to meet 4 girls that he was hosting from Couch Surfing. The group included 3 Swede's and one obnoxious Estonian girl. That night we went into town to catch an NFL football game and that was about it.
All in all it was a great trip, if not a little stressful. I think we decided that if we were to do a cruising trip again it would either have more lazy days at sea or exclusively involve coastal towns.
